What is a Cosmetic Candle?
We absolutely love this question because so many aren't aware of what the difference is between a cosmetic candle vs what we find in the candle rows at our local shops or grocers.
A cosmetic candle differs from an industrial candle (which is typically what is on the market), because it is made with cosmetic grade materials, in a licensed cosmetic facility that complies with gMP. There is a certain standard for products that aren't industrial grade and what I love about this category of cosmetics is that they can double as wonderful cosmetic applications, for personal care items. One of my favorites is our massage applications because as a former massotherapist, who worked in a wellness environment, I wanted a practical application that could be used in a spa setting that would be ideal for a number of massage treatments. The scent is structured for such with natural aromatics. Therefore, these products are truly not like what you find at craft fairs. A lot of work goes into their R&D and product designs. They make great salon add on treatments and gifts. The limited edition Earth Series actually has seeds in it so that when you bury it in your garden, being that it is biodegradable, eventually the seeds should sprout. I've also had some start a plant off in their container that is hand made (Earth Digestible) and plant that in their garden to give some added protection to their plant as it grows. The Glam Series has reusable glass hand blown containers in various designs. You can tend to see some limited editions that are stocked, around festive dates. If you would like to order one or place an order for a custom gift, reach out to a team member.

Do these smell like regular candles? Yes and no. The natural aromatic profile of some cosmetic candles, pending their cosmetic application (intended use) will differ. Most of the time, the scent is not meant to linger. It is meant to be light. We do sell sampler scents for some of our cosmetic candle applications and if you aren't certain, based on the descriptions in the shop, just ask a team member to help as it is often easier to answer requests this way.

Many have asked about the available scents and you can find the answer to this question in the items available in the online shop. If you don't see an item in the shop, just ask as we sometimes do not list all of the stock.
