How to Warm Up to Creating Video Content
The best advice for anyone wanting to become a content creator is to practice in front of your camera. It is very useful when you can have a holder and really great lighting is important. It can make an incredible difference and I cannot stress this enough. I have found that when I don't focus on being on film that I do the best video content. You may be different and need to look right at the camera. For those who are curvier, like I am, you may want to try chin down, or the camera situated at the right angle, with the appropriate contour makeup and the appropriate colors, will make an incredible difference. One can never have enough lighting. I tried on a dress in two different colors, for instance and in one shade, the dress color (same style of dress just a different color), totally made me look washed out. The color was not for me. Yet, the other, did the opposite and totally worked. So, having our colors done, knowing what looks best on video (and there are countless articles online) can really help also. For instance, stripes are popular this warmer season and choosing different stripes can have totally different effects. I like to stick with solid colors when I have a choice. If I do stripes, I like to do test shots or a few moments of video to see what that actually looks like with my background I'm planning on using.

Keep in mind that just because something is in style, it doesn't mean that it will look incredible on everyone.

It's important to infuse what works for you in any look you do. In my experience, if you can get passed the first time, you gain comfort every time after that. It is great to try at least once to see if it is for you. Have fun with it!
